Should this proposal be approved I am to request

that the Crown Agents may be instructed to secure a passage

for Mr Hanson by the Messageries Maritimes Co's steamer

leaving Marseilles on the 3rd proximo, and as baggage going

by this boat must be shipped in London on the 18th instant,

I am also to request that the necessary instructions may be

issued at as early a date as possible.

5. I am to add that Mr Nicolle has been instructed by

telegraph to engage temporary clerical assistance pending

the arrival of a successor to Mr Hardcastle,
